Itinerary

Stop At:  Lake Vouliagmeni

The imposing rock, thermal waters, the labyrinthine underwater tunnels and the lush vegetation create a unique geological phenomenon. The lake’s present form was created after the roof of the cave fell because of erosion caused by the high temperature of the running water running. The lake is included in Greece’s national NATURA 2000 network and as a Site of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the Ministry of Culture.

Stop At:  Cape Sounion

Cape Sounion, a strategic point rising above the Aegean sea about 70 kilometers away from Athens in the southern region of Attica, was known by Ancient Greeks as the “Sacred Cape.”
On top of this 60 meter cliff stands one of the most important sanctuaries in the region: the temple dedicated to Poseidon, God of the Sea.

Definitely worth doing!!

My friends and I wanted to see Cape Sounion and this experience was perfect. Vangelis was awesome. He picked us up right in front of our Airbnb, had cold water waiting for us, told us Greek mythological stories, and took us to great places! I would 100% recommend him and this experience to anyone.

Great!

I'm always looking for a great, authentic experience when traveling, and this tour did not disappoint. Our driver was friendly and helpful, our ride was comfortable, and we saw some fabulous sights. The Temple of God Poseidon, which is at the very tip of the Cape Sounion, was awe-inspiring—and on a sunny day with a deep blue sky it was absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant we visited afterward to have lunch served some of the freshest fish I've ever had; if you get the chance to visit, do it!
