    The Holy Monastery of Great Meteoron, located at Meteora-Greece, is the biggest and oldest one of all. It was called the monastery which remains “suspended in the air”, because of the cliff formation of a gigantic rock on top of which it was built.

    The Holy Trinity Monasteryat is one of the most photographed monuments in the area. At the same time its the most difficult to reach. For those who will attempt to reach it will be rewarded with the panoramic view of the surroundings.

    After the fascinating tour of the most accessible monasteries, you can enjoy a delightful lunch with Greek traditional dishes. In the Thessaly Valley, Kalambaka is a town watched by the surreal rock formations of Meteora. With wisps of greenery, these gigantic sandstone and conglomerate pillars are up to 400 metres high and topped with monasteries that make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
